Hotel Restaurant Ketterer am Kurgarten

The keyword family business fits well with the hotel restaurant, which also includes a pastry café.

Owner Markus Ketterer runs the house with the support of his parents Hildegard and Rolf Ketterer.

This means that the fourth generation of the family is now at the helm of the business. Markus Ketterer graduated as master chef
in 2013/2014 . He took over the house from his parents in autumn 2014 and initially modernized the twelve hotel rooms.


In January 2015 everything was completely renovated, especially bright and friendly, modernized and tastefully furnished.



The entrance area of ​​the house including the hotel reception has also been completely redesigned and
there is now a cozy lounge area.



The restaurant offers guests a wonderful panoramic view of the waterfall town of Triberg with its spa gardens in the foreground through spacious, almost floor-to-ceiling windows.



The founding of the “Ketterer am Kurgarten” house dates back to 1905 . At that time, Hermann Ketterer and his wife, the great-grandparents of the current operator, opened Café Ketterer on the steep Friedrichstrasse in the immediate vicinity of the entrance to Germany's highest waterfalls after five years of construction.

The founders' son, also named Hermann Ketterer and a master confectioner,
took over the business in 1935 together with his wife Hildegard.
